After using this product for a good 10 days, there is no question but that it has improved my quality of life: I sleep better, wake up feeling rested; and have more energy during the day. As for customer service? I'm not so impressed. I used a link to contact the company with some questions I had about proper usage. What I got back was crickets. Customer service should mean something.
After much research I decided to invest in a light therapy lamp and couldn't be happier with the Day-Light Elite Light I purchased. It has exceeded all my expectations including improving my energy level and mood. Prior to using this light I struggled to stay awake, found myself yawning for most of the morning and taking a nap late-morning/early-afternoon. That is no longer the case. I highly recommend you give light therapy a chance if you find yourself struggling with waking up, your low energy level or a "blah" kind of mood. I chose the Day-Light Elite based on reviews from others.
Does what it says. It's bright and the timer on the side is convenient. The plastic smells strongly enough though that I actually sneeze when it's around. Since this is a health focused product, and with a considerable price tag, I'd expect a more conscious choice about materials used. As soon as I'm done using it, I put it in another room near a window hoping the chemical smell will dissipate over time. Two weeks so far and still about the same. Other than that, yes I like the product.
Great light and versatile. It works for dark spaces without natural lighting.
This lamp is solidly built, easy to use, and I have already seen positive results in less than a week!
I got this lamp almost 5 years ago. I had trouble with the light. Customer care responded immediately and is sending a replacement already.This is a good company and the light works great.
The product does what it says it will do in terms of providing the appropriate amount of light for SAD. However it is rather larger and bulky so I've already thrown it in my closet and no longer use it after only three weeks. I was also very upset when I bought this lamp on sale via the Carex website only to see a week later the upgraded version that ISN'T bulky on sale for an even lower price.

The lamp itself performs as advertised; however the part that connects the lamp to the stem is plastic and cracked after minimal use. Now the lamp can't be properly positioned. It seems as if the lamp is too heavy for the design of the stem. This makes it difficult to adjust its position and prone to breaking.
This light has been an absolute life saver for my sanity this winter. This is the first winter that I didn't have major symptoms. I use it every morning for 45 to 60 minutes. I actually look forward to using it every day. I can't say enough high praise for the light! If you are on the fence about purchasing, you truly will not regret it!
Great light for helping with SAD. For me personally I wish the light put off a little bit of heat. It stays very cool.
Review: Carex Day-Light Classic Plus Light Therapy Lamp
I love this lamp. The brightness, the size and the fact that it is a good full spectrum bulb(s). I like the principle of the stand because you can make the lamp higher or lower and you can tilt the lamp to any degree of tilt you want. However! The up/down feature of the stand does not work. It only sits at the lowest level. If I try to raise it, it immediately moves down. I generally like it at the lowest level, but not always.
I haven't spent alot of time yet using but turned it on and I instantly felt the difference in light compared to other sources. I will use this with my early morning discipline of sketching at my art table for 20 minutes.Carex customer service was great to work with.
The lamp is bright but bulky and with poor quality for a product over $100. Less expensive options with 10K lux exist which also allow changing temperature and brightness.
Assembly was super easy but my lamp will not turn on. I have tried three different outlets unplugging and re-plugging each end (into the light and into the wall) each time. I only received this ten minutes ago and have contacted Carex privately about the issue. Hopefully they have a solution -- I really wanted to love this!
I live in the Inland Northwest, where in the winter we get very little sun. I was noticing my mood was really low from lack of sunshine. This light has almost completely cured my seasonal depression. It was tested by yale- it really works! I'm so happy I bought this! I might not have to move 😜
All of the buttons stoped working about two weeks after I received it.
Huge waste of money.

Great mix of level settings, as well as a timer. Stand is nice, but I use the flip out leg to better fit. Great value.
Good light. I didn’t see an option to skip the table stand, because I’m wall mounting it and the stand is just landfill now.
This has been a life changer. Usually my mood and energy levels start going down with the decreasing daylight hours. I’ve notice an improvement almost immediately after starting light therapy with this lamp. I sleep better at night and have more energy and a better mood during the daytime. My only regret is not having purchased this years ago.
I've tried smaller lights in the past that didn't quite do the job. But I decided to invest in this Carex after seeing such good reviews and got started with the light therapy earlier than I have in the past. It's been making a HUGE difference for my mental health and over all energy levels. I had already been feeling exhausted and sad during the gray days even with my my sunrise alarm and bedside lamp. I work from home so I have this light at my desk that I work at every day and it's convenient to just turn it on on in the morning for a out 30mins. I then turn on the task light which is still very bright because I just like the extra light. It makes me feel more awake as these days get darker. This one is large and not the most aesthetically appealing but it's no big deal for me since I use it at my desk and am not trying to blend it into my home decor. Definitely recommend
