How do I use it?

Using the TheraLite Mini is a simple and effective way to boost your mood and energy. Here's how:

Find a quiet space: Choose a place where you won't be disturbed.
Position the lamp: Place the Day-Light Classic Plus 12-14 inches away from your face, with the light shining directly towards your eyes.
Set your timer: For optimal results, use the lamp for 20-30 minutes each morning.
Relax and enjoy: Sit comfortably and allow the light to gently stimulate your eyes.

By incorporating the TheraLite Mini into your daily routine, you'll support your body's natural production of serotonin, a hormone that helps regulate mood and energy levels.

What's the Scientific Research?

Light therapy, also known as phototherapy, has been scientifically proven effective in improving mood, energy levels, and overall well-being. The primary mechanism behind this is the influence of light on our circadian rhythm, the body's internal clock that regulates sleep-wake cycles.

Key findings from scientific studies:

Increased Mood and Mental Well-being: A study involving 177 adults with diagnosed SAD compared six weeks of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT-SAD) to six weeks of daily 30-minute 10,000 LUX light therapy. The study found comparable results with CBT-SAD showing remission rates of 56% and Light therapy showing remission rates of 63.6%. The study concluded that both are comparable for treating acute episodes of SAD and may be considered as treatment options.
Improved Energy Levels: Light therapy's effectiveness is largely due to its ability to improve serotonin production. Serotonin is a key hormone that aids in energy levels, and studies have found that higher serotonin levels equate to greater energy levels.
Enhanced Sleep Quality: A meta-analysis involving 53 studies and 1,154 participants found light therapy effective for general sleep problems in addition to circadian rhythm sleep disorders, insomnia, and Alzheimer's/Dementia-related sleep difficulties.

How long until I see improvements?

The time it takes to notice improvements from bright light therapy can vary depending on individual factors, such as the severity of your symptoms and overall health. However, many people report feeling the benefits within a few weeks of consistent use.

Here's a general timeline:

Initial improvements: You may notice a difference in your mood and energy levels within the first week of regular use.
Sustained benefits: Over time, as your body adjusts to the light therapy, the improvements should become more noticeable and consistent.
Individual variations: It's important to remember that everyone's experience is unique. Some people may see faster results than others.
